Emergency Preparedness Community Resources Fair and Presentation at West Slope library

Hello Community Partners,

I want to say thank you for agreeing to share your time, talents and knowledge about emergency preparedness at the Emergency Preparedness Community Resources Fair and Presentation schedule from 5:30pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, Sept 21, 2016 hosted by West Slope Library and held at Raleigh Park School (3670 SW 78th Ave, Portland, OR 97225).

The interest in this topic and the interest in this particular gathering is huge. The community is going to attend in mass and I expect over 200 people to pass through the booths. We have an amazing opportunity to reach a lot of people to spread the word about the benefits of emergency preparations.

If you could arrive by 4:30pm to the Raleigh Park School which is located directly behind West Slope Library to set up the information booths, that would be fantastic.

The browsing of booths will begin at 5:30pm and will last until 8:00pm; some folks will want to attend the American Red Cross presentation and others will just want to visit the information booths. The American Red Cross will begin their "Prepare" presentation at 6:30pm, and it will conclude by 7:15 or 7:30pm. From 7:30pm to 8:00pm, folks can continue to browse the booths and perhaps spend some time networking and exchanging contact information.

If you have any questions, please contact me through this email or call 503-292-6416. Thanks again for your interest in this event!! Jackie Kubat Senior Library Assistant West Slope Library 3678 SW 78th Ave Portland, OR 97225 503-292-6416

The Raleigh Park Neighborhood Association needs volunteers to help as Street Captains to deliver the newsletters in our neighborhood. There are several routes within our neighborhood that lack a street captain. The principal duty for a street captain is delivering the newsletters up to 4 times a year. Please email us from our web site at http://www.raleighpark.org.

Vacant Board Positions

Those residents interested in helping the Raleigh Park Community can apply for vacant positions on the Board of the Raleigh Park Neighborhood Association at the next General or Board meetings. It is a great time to get involved!
